Senior Engineer - HIG HBM PSE - Design Validation
Role Summary
Design Validation Product Engineer for High Bandwidth Memory (HBM). The role supports design-to-production activities for HBM products including validation, debugging, qualification, and cross-functional coordination with Design, Manufacturing, Test, and Quality teams.
Work focuses on silicon validation, hardware and software debugging, circuit simulation, and data analysis to enable next-generation HBM devices used in ML/AI applications.
Experience Level

Responsibilities
Primary tasks and accountabilities:
- Understand and apply JEDEC specifications for HBM.
- Develop and maintain internal architecture documentation; interpret schematics and layout for builds.
- Perform silicon validation and bring-up of HBM designs; debug issues using lab hardware, software tools, circuit simulation, and data analysis.
- Collaborate closely with PE team and cross-functional teams (Design, Manufacturing, Test, Quality, customers) to resolve issues.
- Improve validation methodologies, workflows, and test/qualification techniques.
Requirements

- Must-have: Hands-on experience with schematic analysis, circuit simulation, lab debug, data analysis, and pattern manipulation; strong problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to work effectively in a team and manage time productively.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with Verilog/VHDL/SystemVerilog; programming in Python and C/C++; familiarity with HBM, TSV technology, and silicon validation for memory products; effective verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated initiative and process-improvement mindset.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. Preferred background includes coursework or training in VLSI and semiconductor process; programming coursework (Python, C/C++) was also mentioned.
