Senior Engineer, HIG HBM Media Health
Role Summary
Member of the HIG HBM Media Health high-volume manufacturing (HVM) team responsible for developing, validating, qualifying, and improving next-generation HBM products. Work spans test coverage, product validation, yield improvement, and cross-functional collaboration with fab, design, test, and quality teams.

Responsibilities
Accountable for test, product qualification, yield, and technical leadership for HBM products in HVM.
- Define and optimize test coverage for current and future HBM architectures and process nodes.
- Develop, validate, characterize, and qualify next-generation HBM products for reliability and manufacturability.
- Support design validation and circuit analysis using CAD tools and Verilog simulations.
- Identify root causes and resolve device qualification and RMA issues.
- Recommend process conversions to improve yield and reduce cost.
- Lead yield-improvement initiatives to reduce test time and meet yield targets.
- Provide technical decision-making on risk analysis and project prioritization.
- Mentor and develop team members and build project management capability within the team.
- Collaborate with Fab, HBM Technology Development, HBM Design, System Development, Test Program Development, and Quality/Reliability teams to deliver product to shipping readiness.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience for immediate contribution and leadership in HBM product engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry (product engineering experience preferred).
- Proven leadership skills and strong technical proficiency in semiconductor test and characterization.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams to solve complex engineering and business problems.
- Strong sense of responsibility, accountability, and professional work ethic.
- AI-enabled mindset and experience using AI-assisted tools in engineering workflows.
- Ability to lead technical programs and adapt to dynamic roles in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Nice-to-have / preferred:
- Programming experience (Python preferred).
- Knowledge of logic gate and transistor operation; circuit simulation or debug experience.
- Familiarity with DRAM operation and semiconductor process knowledge.
- Experience with AI tools and code-assistant platforms (experience with Claude code noted as a plus).
Education Requirements
