Senior Engineer, FE Central QE Product

Role Summary

The FE Central Quality Engineer is a member of Micron's global quality team responsible for driving wafer quality and reliability initiatives across frontend (FE) manufacturing. The role establishes product quality programs and best-known methods (BKMs) for new ID1 fab ramps and coordinates cross-functional execution.

This position works with DEG PE/PYE/GQ, FE fab teams and Central PIE to define metrics, lead projects, and reduce DPM and uncorrectable errors during time-zero and ramp periods.

Experience Level

Mid-level — requires 3+ years of relevant experience in semiconductor product quality assurance, process integration, or product engineering.

Responsibilities

Accountable for strategic and tactical quality program execution across the FE manufacturing network.

• Define and communicate quality strategy with measurable metrics and goals; monitor execution health.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives and projects that support fab-level and companywide quality objectives.
• Establish and deploy BKMs for BE–FE collaboration (for example, WL DPM forecasting and RMA DPM reduction).
• Develop, track, and report product metrics (PGL, critical RD, DPM) and provide roadmaps to meet targets.
• Serve as SME on reliability failure modes; lead investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions for product issues and customer feedback.
• Collaborate with fab teams and Central PIE to drive internal DPM reduction during technology node ramping and improve repair-density performance.
• Support program deployment for ID1, including 170s DRAM, and manage project execution to achieve program milestones.

• Expertise in frontend manufacturing processes, frontend/backend test flows, methodologies, and product failure modes.
• Proficiency in English for both verbal and written communication.
• Position requires work location in Taiwan (Taoyuan or Taichung).

Nice-to-have:

• Knowledge of DRAM products.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree or above in engineering or a related field of study.
