Job Title
Senior Engineer / Engineer - HIG HBM PSE
Role Summary
Work on HBM validation and product support in a wafer fab environment (Fab 10A, Singapore). Execute validation runs, support test platforms (MBIST and native-mode), perform high-speed I/O checks and Verilog simulation, and coordinate with design, DV, QA and cross-functional teams.
This role emphasizes hands-on lab execution, data analysis/automation, and root-cause debugging to deliver robust DRAM/HBM validation results.
Experience Level
Senior level. The posting specifies at least 2+ years of semiconductor validation or product engineering experience.
Responsibilities
Day-to-day responsibilities include validation execution, platform support, data analysis, and cross-team collaboration.
- Execute validation runs on IQP/ETV materials and ensure coverage for MBIST and Native Mode flows.
- Parse logs, produce statistical summaries, and prepare validation summary reports under time constraints.
- Operate and debug test platforms (SM3/Cobra for MBIST and Advantest V93K for Native Mode).
- Support hardware readiness: handler, socket, loadboard, and probe-card setup.
- Validate high-speed I/O (>11 Gbps), assist with eye-diagram and signal-integrity checks.
- Run Verilog simulations (testbench execution, waveform review) to reproduce issues and validate fixes.
- Develop basic Python scripts for log parsing and data visualization; maintain documentation and version control.
- Participate in root-cause analysis and follow up on corrective actions; collaborate with Design, DV, QA, and GQ teams.
- Identify and share process improvements, including AI-enabled automation within scope of work.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and domain experience; preferred skills follow.
Must-have:
- 2+ years experience in semiconductor validation or product engineering (DRAM/HBM preferred).
- Exposure to HBM validation concepts and flows; understanding of MBIST and Native Mode testing platforms.
- Experience with test platform code development in C/C++ or Python and familiarity with APG (Algorithmic Pattern Generator).
- Verilog simulation experience: running testbenches and interpreting waveforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work in a fast-paced lab environment.
Nice-to-have:
- Familiarity with Linux and version control systems (Git/SVN).
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers) and handler/probe setups.
- Knowledge of DRAM/HBM architecture and datasheet interpretation.
- Interest in automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or related field) with experience, or a Master’s degree in EE/CE. The posting lists degree-based qualifications; equivalent practical experience is implied by the professional experience requirements.
