Job Title
Senior Engineer / Engineer - HIG HBM PSE
Role Summary
Work on HBM validation and product support within a semiconductor validation team at Micron's Fab 10A in Singapore. The role focuses on executing validation runs, debugging test platforms, analyzing high-speed I/O signals, and supporting cross-functional root-cause analysis.
Expect hands-on lab work, test program support, and automation for data analysis and reporting.
Experience Level
Senior level. Source lists a baseline of 2+ years' semiconductor validation or product engineering experience (DRAM/HBM preferred).
Responsibilities
Primary duties include validation execution, test platform support, data analysis, and collaboration with design and quality teams.
- Execute validation runs on IQP/ETV materials, ensuring coverage across MBIST and Native Mode flows.
- Parse logs, produce statistical summaries, and prepare summary reports under time constraints.
- Operate and debug test programs on platforms such as SM3/Cobra (MBIST) and Advantest V93K (Native).
- Prepare and validate hardware readiness: handlers, sockets, loadboards, and probe cards.
- Validate high-speed I/O (>11 Gbps), perform eye diagram and signal-integrity checks.
- Support Verilog simulation tasks (run testbenches, review waveforms) to reproduce and validate sightings/fixes.
- Develop basic Python scripts for log parsing and data visualization; maintain documentation in Confluence/Jira and version control in Git/Perforce.
- Participate in root-cause analysis and assist with corrective action closure; collaborate with Design, DV, QA, and GQ teams.
- Identify and trial automation or AI-enabled improvements within the scope of work.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and practical experience required for the role; preferred items listed separately.
- 2+ years' experience in semiconductor validation or product engineering (DRAM/HBM experience preferred).
- Experience with MBIST and Native Mode testing platforms and flows.
- Practical skills operating/debugging SM3/Cobra and Advantest V93K or similar test systems.
- Hands-on Verilog simulation exposure: running testbenches and interpreting waveforms.
- Programming experience for test/platform code in C/C++ and Python; familiarity with APG (Algorithmic Pattern Generator).
- Ability to perform signal-integrity checks and analyze high-speed I/O behavior.
- Experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers; ability to set up handlers, sockets, and probe cards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to work under tight timelines.
- Version control and documentation practices (Git/Perforce, Confluence/Jira).
Preferred:
- Familiarity with Linux and version control systems (Git/SVN).
- Knowledge of DRAM/HBM architecture and datasheet interpretation.
- Interest in automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or related technical field) with relevant experience, or a Master's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering. Equivalent practical experience is acceptable.
