Senior Engineer, DPG LPDDR Verification
Micron TechnologyJob Title
Senior Engineer, DPG LPDDR Verification
Role Summary
Senior verification engineer owning verification and end-to-end analysis of full-chip gate-level custom designs with advanced low-power and power-management technologies across DDR5/LPDDR5/DDR6/LPDDR6 (up to 9600MT/s). Work with global design and verification teams to develop verification methodology, environments, and robust test coverage.
Experience Level
Senior. No explicit years-of-experience specified in the posting.
Responsibilities
Accountable for verification direction, simulation-driven debug, and improving coverage and flows across memory products.
- Lead and direct verification efforts within assigned projects and expertise areas.
- Simulate, analyze, and debug pre-silicon full-chip designs, including gate-level simulations with delays.
- Develop test cases and stimulus to increase functional coverage for DRAM and emerging memory architectures and features.
- Participate in development of verification methodology and environments for complex products.
- Collaborate with international colleagues to develop new verification flows and address design challenges.
- Develop and maintain testbenches and test vectors; run regressions for coverage analysis and improvements.
- Identify verification pain points suitable for AI-based automation and work with cross-functional teams to deploy scalable solutions.
Requirements
Key technical and interpersonal requirements. Items labelled "Preferred" are not strictly mandatory per the source.
- Must-have: Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Must-have: Exposure to gate-level simulations (with delays) and logic schematic analysis.
- Must-have: Analytical capability for complex CMOS and/or gate-level circuit designs.
- Must-have: Proficiency with SPICE and Verilog simulation tools.
- Must-have: Experience with timing analysis including setup/hold and critical data-path timing analysis.
- Preferred: Experience in DRAM, SRAM, or other memory-related fields.
- Preferred: Experience with Python scripting for verification/automation.
- Preferred: Experience using AI-assisted tools to improve verification productivity, with emphasis on correctness, validation, and responsible use of approved AI systems.
