Job Title

Senior Engineer, DPG Architecture Strategy

Role Summary

Design and validate DRAM features and memory controller behavior by developing LPDRAM state-machine models, hardware models, and validation test benches. Implement simulation methodologies and automation to enable new DRAM technology and controller policies.

Work with cross-functional teams to specify system requirements, verify implementations, and communicate technical results through reports and presentations.

Experience Level

Senior-level (title indicates senior). No explicit years-of-experience requirement provided.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include modeling, validation, automation, and system-level evaluation to enable DRAM features:

  • Develop LPDRAM state-machine models and corresponding hardware validation test benches.
  • Design memory controller models including request scheduling and address mapping.
  • Implement automation and simulation scripts (Python) to improve simulation methodologies.
  • Implement DRAM technology changes per specification and validate via the test bench.
  • Design and conduct hardware and software tests; evaluate effectiveness of existing systems.
  • Define system data, hardware, and software components required to meet user needs.
  • Identify and establish functional or system standards addressing operational and quality requirements.
  • Document and communicate project information via technical reports, presentations, and white papers.
  • Advise on project costs, design concepts, and design changes as required.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

  • Proficiency in C/C++ or Python for simulation and automation.
  • Experience with debugging interfaces such as GDB and PDB.
  • Knowledge of LPDRAM technology and related state machines.
  • Strong understanding of computer architecture.
  • Experience with memory controller design and cache policy.
  • Familiarity with simulation methodologies and test-bench development.
  • Clear written and verbal communication for cross-team collaboration and reporting.

Education Requirements

Employer will accept a Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. The posting does not specify additional degrees or an explicit equivalent-experience alternative.
