Senior Engineer, Digital Design Engineering
Role Summary
Lead block-level digital design and verification for complex ASIC/SoC blocks, focusing on timing closure, power optimization, and integration with analog/mixed-signal subsystems. Act as a technical lead on designs, drive cross-functional collaboration, and present solutions to customers.
Located in Shanghai (Pudong, ZuChongzhi). Role requires up to ~10% travel and involves mentoring junior engineers and coordinating across teams.
Experience Level
Senior - typically 5β8 years of relevant digital design engineering experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Lead block-level digital design and verification activities.
- Develop and implement complex digital systems with performance and power targets.
- Drive timing closure for critical design blocks and resolve timing issues.
- Optimize designs for power efficiency and area where required.
- Integrate digital blocks into mixed-signal environments and collaborate with analog teams.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
- Interface with customers to gather requirements and present technical solutions.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive system-level design.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- Advanced expertise in complex digital circuit design and implementation.
- Proven ability to achieve timing closure on complex designs.
- Practical experience in power optimization for digital designs.
- Experience integrating digital blocks with analog/mixed-signal environments.
- Competence in block-level digital architecture design and implementation.
- Thorough understanding of digital verification methodologies and tools.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and lead technical efforts.
- Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field - or equivalent practical experience.
