Job Title
Senior Engineer, Digital Design Engineering
Role Summary
Senior digital design engineer responsible for RTL and FPGA-based prototyping of SoC and IP blocks. Works with architecture, verification, analog and implementation teams to deliver designs that meet timing, area, power, DFT and manufacturing-test targets across multiple European sites.
Role includes customer and stakeholder interaction and occasional travel (approximately 10%).
Experience Level
Senior-level (experienced engineer).
Responsibilities
Core responsibilities include design, verification and handoff of digital blocks and FPGA prototypes.
- Develop FPGA prototypes and self-checking models for verification and validation.
- Architectural design and specification of digital blocks and system-on-chip elements.
- RTL design using Verilog/SystemVerilog, including protocol implementations (AHB, AXI) and processor interfacing.
- HW/SW codesign and mixed-signal co-simulation where required.
- Define timing constraints and perform static timing analysis; perform timing, power and CDC analysis.
- Design to meet timing, area, low-power, DFT and manufacturing-test targets for market products.
- Integrate IP blocks and support verification using UVM methodologies.
- Collaborate with implementation teams to convert RTL to silicon and align with product roadmap.
- Interact with customers and stakeholders; produce precise documentation.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and attributes.
- Deep knowledge of FPGA development flow and FPGA modelling.
- Strong Verilog/SystemVerilog RTL skills, including experience with AHB/AXI and processor (ARM) architectures.
- Experience with static timing analysis, timing closure, power analysis and CDC checks.
- Experience designing to meet area, low-power, DFT and manufacturing-test requirements.
- Experience with IP block design and integration.
- Experience with verification methodologies (UVM) and working closely with verification teams.
- Proven ability to work across architecture, analog, verification and implementation teams; strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and skilled at problem solving.
- Willingness to travel approximately 10%.
Nice-to-have:
- Mixed-signal integration and co-simulation experience.
- Hands-on HW/SW codesign experience and FPGA prototyping at system level.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Electronic Engineering) or equivalent practical experience.
