Senior FPGA Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Senior ASIC/FPGA Verification Engineer on the Avionics development team. You will design and implement verification environments, run simulations and hardware validation, collect coverage metrics, and support design reviews and debugging.

Senior β€” requires 5+ years of verification experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities focus on verification of ASIC and FPGA designs across simulation and hardware platforms.

  • Architect and implement ASIC/FPGA verification testbenches.
  • Define test plans, generate test cases, and run simulations to verify functionality.
  • Execute post-silicon and hardware-in-the-loop validation on target hardware.
  • Collect and report functional and code coverage metrics.
  • Validate and verify design requirements and assist with debugging design or test issues.
  • Prepare materials for peer reviews and major program design reviews.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and eligibility requirements; preferred items listed as nice-to-have.

  • Must-have: 5+ years experience with SystemVerilog UVM, Pyuvm, or similar verification methodology.
  • Must-have: Experience with cocotb and Python-based HDL simulations; Python scripting and tool development.
  • Must-have: Experience running ASIC/FPGA simulations with tools such as QuestaSim, VCS, Riviera-Pro, or Verilator.
  • Must-have: Experience collecting functional and code coverage metrics and defining testbench components.
  • Must-have: Experience writing VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog for ASIC/FPGA designs.
  • Eligibility: Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen or permanent resident) and eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
  • Nice-to-have: ASIC/FPGA design experience, constrained-random testbenches, assertion-based verification, DSP-centric design validation, and running back-annotated simulations.
