Senior Engineer, Design Verification Engineering

Role Summary

Lead verification planning and execution for complex digital and mixed-signal IC designs. Own verification strategy, architect UVM-based environments, drive debug and post-silicon validation, and mentor junior engineers across projects.

Collaborate with design teams and stakeholders to ensure product quality and verification metric targets are met.

Experience Level

Senior - typically experienced engineer. Posting requests 4–8 years of relevant digital/mixed-signal IC verification experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include planning, executing, and improving verification for complex mixed-signal designs.

  • Architect and implement verification strategies for complex digital and mixed-signal designs.
  • Develop and maintain UVM-based verification environments and advanced testbenches.
  • Define and track verification metrics, including code and functional coverage goals.
  • Lead debug efforts spanning digital and mixed-signal domains; support silicon bring-up and post-silicon validation.
  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior verification engineers.
  • Collaborate with design teams to resolve issues and align on verification plans.
  • Contribute to verification methodology improvements and best practices.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience required for the role.

  • Expert-level SystemVerilog and UVM for verification environment architecture.
  • Proven testbench development skills for complex mixed-signal verification.
  • Advanced scripting and automation skills (Python, Perl, TCL).
  • Expertise in constrained-random and assertion-based verification techniques.
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills across digital and mixed-signal designs.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead verification strategy and influence technical direction.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% and work day shift.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field. The posting specifies 4–8 years of relevant digital/mixed-signal IC verification experience.
