Job Title
Senior Engineer, Design
Role Summary
The Senior Engineer, Design will develop and integrate Design-for-Test (DFT) strategies for NAND flash memory designs, covering digital, custom/analog circuits and memory arrays. The role partners with design, product engineering and validation teams to ensure testability, silicon bring-up, and manufacturability.
Experience Level
Senior
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities focus on DFT, validation and post-silicon support for NAND flash products.
- Develop, integrate, and optimize DFT strategies for NAND flash digital, custom/analog circuits and memory arrays.
- Analyze design testability for quality, coverage, and manufacturability compliance.
- Create, debug, and optimize test sequences and test modes.
- Design, develop, and validate firmware for NAND test algorithms through simulation and silicon.
- Validate designs using Verilog and XA simulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Design, Product Engineering) for DFT integration.
- Support first-silicon bring-up, debug, characterization, and ramp to high-volume production.
- Perform post-silicon validation, failure analysis, and debug activities.
- Document DFT methodologies, validation results, and technical recommendations.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience for the role.
- Relevant experience in Custom/Analog Design or Product Engineering with hands-on silicon exposure.
- Strong understanding of digital design, custom/analog design, verification, DFT and test principles.
- Proficiency in Verilog, C/C++ and Python.
- Solid understanding of NAND flash memory architecture.
- Exposure to AI-enabled technologies and willingness to apply a "Design + AI" approach to accelerate design and validation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication in global cross-functional teams.
- Nice to have: laboratory skills (oscilloscope, LSA, function generator) and wafer/package level silicon testing experience.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
