Senior Engineer - Analog Simulation CAD
Role Summary
Lead development and maintenance of CAD simulation flows for analog and mixed-signal circuits, with a focus on reducing pre-silicon failures and improving simulation productivity. Work closely with memory design teams and EDA vendors to integrate tools and develop scalable, automated, AI-enabled simulation and verification flows.

Senior - 8+ years of professional experience in analog circuit simulation flows.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include designing, implementing, and improving simulation flows and providing technical leadership.
- Collaborate with memory and circuit design teams to diagnose issues and deliver complete simulation solutions.
- Identify improvement opportunities and develop scalable, maintainable software systems for CAD flows.
- Evaluate and integrate new EDA tools and technologies; work with EDA vendors for tool qualification and integration.
- Lead implementation of agentic and AI-assisted automation for circuit simulation and verification, including copilot-based assistants and rule-aware automation.
- Develop, test, and deploy AI-enabled methodologies to improve simulation productivity and reduce failures.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and promote knowledge sharing across teams.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within the CAD domain.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and domain experience.
- Expertise in circuit simulation debugging and modern simulation methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with one or more circuit simulators (e.g., FineSim, PrimeSim, XA, Spectre, VCS, Xcelium).
- Experience with Cadence Virtuoso custom IC platform (Virtuoso-L/XL), schematic capture, or Synopsys Custom Compiler.
- Proven ability to develop and deploy AI-enabled methodologies for simulation flows.
- Strong programming skills in Python and/or Perl with object-oriented practices.
- Working knowledge of Linux, LSF, shell scripting, TCL, and SKILL (Cadence).
- Solid understanding of CMOS fundamentals and analog circuit concepts.
- Effective problem-solving skills and experience working with global teams and stakeholders.
- Nice-to-have: familiarity with parasitic extraction tools (StarRC/Quantus), EM/IR, STA, or AI/ML experience.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
