Job Title

Senior Engineer, Analog Design Engineering

Role Summary

Senior mixed-signal IC design engineer on the Hearable and Wearable Business Unit responsible for analog and mixed-signal block design, simulation, characterization, and help with product bring-up and validation for audio products.

Works across silicon, embedded software, connectivity, test, and applications teams to deliver low-power, high-performance analog solutions for hearables, hearing health, and prosumer audio markets.

Experience Level

Senior-level (Experienced). Specific years of experience not stated; role expects demonstrated IC design and lab problem-solving capability.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include architecture, design, verification, integration, and lab debug of analog/mixed-signal ICs.

  • Investigate architecture and design/verify analog and mixed-signal blocks.
  • Design and analyze circuits including high-gain amplifiers, switched-capacitor circuits, comparators, integrators, precision references, and LDOs.
  • Collaborate with digital design and verification teams for block and chip-level integration and verification.
  • Support product definition, applications, test, and manufacturing to move designs from concept to production release.
  • Perform lab evaluation and troubleshoot complex integrated circuit issues during bring-up and validation.
  • Contribute to system-level debug and cross-functional engineering activities for audio products.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience to perform the role; preferred items are listed separately.

  • Proven experience in mixed-signal IC design and characterization.
  • Practical lab experience with product bring-up, validation, and system debug of ICs.
  • Familiarity with a broad range of analog circuits and their behavior in silicon.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with digital, firmware, test, and applications teams.
  • Willingness to travel for work (approximately 25%).

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience in ADC/DAC design and delta-sigma modulators.
  • Experience in audio IC design or a strong interest in audio applications.
  • Experience with Cadence schematic capture and SPICE simulation tools.
  • Experience using MATLAB or similar tools for modeling and DSP-related design.
  • Understanding of digital signal processing concepts.

Education Requirements

B.Tech, M.S./MS or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with focus on CMOS IC design (degrees specified in source). No explicit statement about equivalence; degrees listed as expected education.
