Job Title

Senior Engineer, Analog Design Engineering

Role Summary

Design and deliver analog and mixed-signal power ICs (PMICs and Power IP) from specification through production. The role is on the Personal Electronics Solutions (PES) Milan team and requires collaboration with analog, digital, layout, verification, validation, packaging and test engineers across multiple locations.

Work includes development of power topologies (LDO, buck, boost, buck-boost, charge-pump, SIMO, IBB) and analog blocks (oscillators, PLL, bandgap, references, ADC/DAC, OTP/MTP).

Experience Level

Senior-level. Posting specifies 3+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Main responsibilities include design, verification, validation and customer support for power ICs and power IP.

  • Define and design complex Power IPs and PMIC building blocks.
  • Execute PMIC analog design, pre-silicon verification and post-silicon validation.
  • Provide guidance to physical layout teams and oversee LPE/PVT verification.
  • Participate in customer technical engagements and IC milestone workshops.
  • Support project planning, task scheduling and promote continuous learning.
  • Support lab silicon bring-up and production test activities.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred items listed separately.

  • IP analog design experience with a strong analog/mixed-signal technical and analytical background.
  • Understanding of mixed-signal design flow and top-down development methodology.
  • Knowledge of power IP topologies and analog functional/parametric verification.
  • Experience with PVT corners and layout parameter extraction (LPE) simulations.
  • Good written and verbal communication and ability to work effectively in multi-discipline teams.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%; first-shift/day schedule.
  • Preferred: Cadence Virtuoso/ADE/Spectre, scripting languages, HDL (Verilog/SystemVerilog), analog behavioral models (Verilog-A/AMS), mixed-signal verification tools, experience with high-voltage low-geometry process technology.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering; posting specifies 3+ years of experience.
