Senior Engineer, Analog Design Engineering
Analog DevicesJob Title
Senior Engineer, Analog Design Engineering
Role Summary
Design and develop advanced analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits, leading architecture and implementation for sensor interfaces, data converters, filters, and power distribution systems. Provide technical leadership on complex projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and mentor junior engineers.
Work requires independent judgment, hands-on circuit and layout work, transistor-level simulation and verification across process, voltage, and temperature conditions.
Experience Level
Senior-level. The posting indicates a preference for 5+ years of relevant analog circuit design experience.
Responsibilities
Main responsibilities include design, verification, and cross-functional coordination:
- Create analog and mixed-signal IC designs (sensor interfaces, ADC/DAC, multiplexers, filters, power systems).
- Develop and optimize circuit architectures and make key design decisions.
- Perform block- and transistor-level design, simulation, evaluation, and debugging.
- Verify performance across process, voltage, and temperature corners.
- Collaborate with product definition, verification, process, test, and applications teams.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
- Identify and resolve complex design issues using experienced engineering judgment.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and tools:
- Analog circuit design expertise (amplifiers, filters, data converters) and performance optimization.
- Advanced mixed-signal IC design skills with attention to signal integrity.
- Experience developing practical circuit architectures balancing performance and implementation constraints.
- Proficiency with simulation tools such as SPICE, MATLAB, and Cadence design tools for validation.
- Strong understanding of integrated circuit physical layout considerations and layout optimization.
- Deep knowledge of CMOS circuit design principles and implementation techniques.
- Expertise in ADC/DAC design principles and performance trade-offs.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with low-power and low-noise precision circuit design.
- Publication record or patents in relevant technical areas.
Education Requirements
Preferred: Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field. The posting also indicates a preference for 5+ years of relevant analog circuit design experience and mentions publications or patents as desirable.
