Job Title
Senior Engineer - Analog Design
Role Summary
Design, implement, validate and integrate complex analog circuits for advanced DRAM products, working within an analog design team. The role covers circuit design, layout oversight, parasitic modeling, verification and cross-functional coordination to ensure manufacturable products.
One short motivating note: the team focuses on improving Power, Performance, and Area (PPA) for next-generation memory products.
Experience Level
Senior. Years of experience not specified.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include hands-on circuit design through tape-out, verification, and collaboration across engineering functions.
- Design, implement and integrate analog circuits: CMOS amplifiers, comparators, bandgap references, LDOs, charge pumps, oscillators, DLLs, I/O buffers, analog test mux, process monitors, and temperature sensors.
- Design and integrate synchronous and asynchronous custom digital blocks.
- Contribute to product design, layout planning, optimization and PPA improvement.
- Perform parasitic modeling, design validation, reticle experiments and tape-out revisions.
- Oversee and manage layout activities including floor-planning, placement and routing.
- Run verification with industry-standard modeling and simulation tools.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Probe, Assembly, Test, Process Integration and Product Engineering to ensure manufacturability.
- Proactively consult Standards, CAD, modeling and verification groups to improve quality and standardization.
- Mentor and lead junior designers.
- Leverage AI tools and agentic AI models (strong AI proficiency; experience with tools such as Claude is expected) to improve engineering efficiency and accelerate delivery.
Requirements
Expect practical, demonstrable skills in analog IC design, verification and layout management. Education details not specified below (see Education Requirements).
Must-have:
- Proven analog circuit design experience across the components listed in responsibilities.
- Experience with parasitic extraction, modeling and design validation for tape-out.
- Familiarity with layout flow, floor-planning, placement and routing oversight.
- Proficiency with industry-standard simulators and verification methodologies.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (process, test, product) and mentoring junior engineers.
- Strong AI proficiency and practical experience using agentic AI tools to improve design productivity.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience specifically in DRAM or memory-product analog/mixed-signal design.
- Prior ownership of reticle experiments and full tape-out cycles.
