Role Summary

Senior Logic Design Engineer on the Memory Controller team responsible for architecting, designing, and delivering Memory Controller silicon IP. The role partners with architecture, verification, implementation, product, and customer teams to drive features from concept through customer deployment.

Location: Hillsboro, OR (hybrid; typically on-site ~3 days/week). US salary range: $97,600–$181,200.

Senior. Typically requires 8+ years of relevant semiconductor design experience (RTL/IP/SoC integration).

Responsibilities

Accountable for design, delivery, and customer support of Memory Controller IP.

  • Define microarchitecture and develop high-quality RTL; make implementation tradeoffs across performance, area, power, timing, and configurability.
  • Lead design, integration, validation, and delivery of complex Memory Controller features and releases.
  • Drive integration of internal and third-party IP, including interface definition, configuration, documentation, and quality closure.
  • Debug complex simulation, integration, and customer-reported issues; identify root cause and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with verification teams to develop robust test plans and ensure design intent is validated.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentor engineers; promote RTL design best practices, reviews, and documentation.
  • Support customers and field teams during integration and issue resolution; influence product improvements.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience for successful performance in this role.

  • Professional experience: Typically 8+ years in RTL design, IP development, SoC integration, or related semiconductor design roles.
  • Languages & design: Expert-level Verilog/SystemVerilog and strong understanding of digital design, microarchitecture, timing, and low-power design concepts.
  • Delivery experience: Hands-on experience delivering production-quality IP or silicon through multiple development phases.
  • Debugging: Strong debugging skills across RTL simulation, verification environments, integration flows, and customer use cases.
  • Leadership & communication: Ability to lead technical discussions, make engineering tradeoffs, mentor engineers, and communicate effectively across teams and with customers.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with memory controllers, high-performance interfaces, data center architectures, or configurable silicon IP.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
