The role works closely with RTL designers and other verification engineers to design and execute verification strategies for IP/SoC projects.

Experience Level

Senior — more than 3 years of proven experience in IP/SoC verification.

Responsibilities

The core responsibilities focus on developing and executing verification environments and plans, collaborating with RTL teams, and mentoring junior engineers.

  • Collaborate with RTL designers to understand microarchitecture and intent.
  • Design and develop new verification environments and extend existing ones, including stimulus generators and checkers.
  • Verify that new features match specifications and do not regress existing functionality.
  • Implement verification strategies with other verification engineers.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of verification methodology.
  • Mentor early-tenure verification engineers.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience for this role.

  • More than 3 years of IP/SoC verification experience.

  • Experience with scripting languages such as Perl or Python.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills for geographically distributed teams.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with AMBA protocols (CHI, AXI, AHB, APB) and JTAG/SW/TAP.
  • Experience with power, clock-domain crossing, and reset-domain crossing verification.
  • Exposure to low-power design techniques (UPF/CPF).
  • Experience with DFT concepts such as scan and MBIST.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field. (No alternative certifications or equivalent-experience language specified.)
