Role Summary
Senior IP Verification Engineer joining the SoC Management IP verification team. The role focuses on developing and owning verification plans and delivering SystemVerilog/UVM-based verification environments for infrastructure IP used across embedded and cloud SoCs.
The engineer will work with architects, RTL designers, and verification colleagues to ensure functional correctness, coverage closure, and robust regression flows.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include verification planning, environment development, and collaboration to deliver high-quality IP.
- Create and own verification plans for IP blocks derived from architecture and specifications
- Build SystemVerilog/UVM testbenches, stimulus, checkers and overall verification environments
- Define functional and code coverage goals and drive coverage closure
- Debug RTL and verification failures and work with build/architecture teams to resolve root causes
- Execute and maintain regression suites and analyze failures
- Contribute to verification methodology and infrastructure improvements
- Participate in design and verification reviews and provide actionable feedback
- Collaborate across teams to ensure timely delivery of verified IP
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and core competencies; preferred items listed separately.
- Proven experience in RTL verification and constrained-random verification environments
- Strong proficiency in SystemVerilog and familiarity with UVM or equivalent methodologies
- Experience writing test plans, developing testbenches, and driving coverage closure
- Solid debugging and problem-solving skills in complex simulation environments
- Understanding of verification fundamentals, including functional coverage and assertions
- Experience with scripting for automation (Python, Perl, or similar)
- Effective written and verbal communication; ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
Nice-to-have:
- Familiarity with AMBA protocols (AXI, AHB, APB, CHI)
- System-level or SoC verification experience
- Knowledge of interrupt handling, message-based communication, or performance-monitoring architectures
- Exposure to formal verification, emulation, low-power verification, or debug/trace infrastructures
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
