Job Title

Senior Embedded System Software Engineer - Hypervisor and Visualization

Role Summary

Develop and integrate NVIDIA automotive and embedded system software on Tegra platforms. Work on platform bring-up, driver porting, feature implementation, and use-case development for embedded and automotive customers.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and hardware partners to optimize designs and provide technical feedback to improve products.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Integrate NVIDIA automotive/embedded software into Tegra platforms (platform bring-up and integration).
  • Port and develop device drivers and platform software.
  • Create and implement software features for embedded/automotive use cases.
  • Provide deep technical assistance to customers and partners.
  • Work with hardware teams to optimize designs and provide product/feature feedback.
  • Investigate and resolve system-level issues and support problem solving during bring-up and integration.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

  • Proficient with Linux and system-level software on embedded platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of hypervisor software stacks.
  • Experience with ARM-based embedded systems.
  • Excellent C programming skills.
  • Familiarity with computer system architecture and microprocessor fundamentals (caches, buses, memory controllers, DMA, RTOS).
  • Good English communication skills for collaborating with global teams.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with QNX, Android, multimedia stacks, or device drivers.
  • Experience with CUDA, deep learning or AI workloads.
  • Strong system-level debugging and problem-solving abilities; ability to break down complex problems.

Education Requirements

BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a closely related field. The posting indicates approximately 5 years of experience in a related software or hardware engineering position.
