Senior Embedded Software Engineer – Radar SDK

Role Summary

Contribute to development and productization of the Radar Software Development Kit (RSDK) on NXP platforms, implementing drivers and radar processing algorithms that run on hardware accelerators. Work within NXP software development processes (Automotive SPICE, IATF 16949, ISO 26262, ISO 9001) and collaborate with cross-regional teams in Europe, North America and Asia.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop and maintain radar processing algorithms for NXP hardware accelerators.
• Develop and maintain RSDK drivers for NXP MCU software architectures.
• Optimize DSP code and implement performance improvements.
• Collaborate with system testing to ensure product-quality indicators.
• Support release activities aligned with the RSDK roadmap.
• Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies with the Scrum Master and project team.
• Perform security-aware development tasks required for certification scopes.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and attributes:

• Proficient in embedded C/C++ programming.
• Experience with DSP programming and performance optimization.
• Theoretical knowledge of linear algebra, signal processing, and machine learning concepts.
• Familiarity with data transfers and data conversion techniques.
• Strong English communication (written and oral) and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience working with hardware accelerators and MCU software architectures.
• Familiarity with automotive software development processes (Automotive SPICE, ISO 26262).

Education Requirements

University degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Mechatronics Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
