Senior Embedded Software Engineer
Role Summary
Join the automotive embedded software team responsible for low-level drivers and firmware on NXP SoCs. The role focuses on designing and delivering robust platform software aligned with AUTOSAR and non-AUTOSAR standards for advanced automotive systems.

Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities include:
- Design and implement embedded low-level software (drivers, firmware) for microcontrollers and processors.
- Own and drive the full software lifecycle: requirements, architecture, design, implementation, integration, and testing.
- Lead architecture decisions and ensure scalable, maintainable solutions.
- Debug and troubleshoot embedded systems and low-level software on target hardware.
- Collaborate with hardware, system, validation teams and customers to integrate solutions.
- Contribute to coding standards, processes and best practices (for example AUTOSAR, ASPICE).
- Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing within the team.
- Perform work that may be in scope of security certifications; maintain security-conscious practices.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- Strong experience in Embedded C programming.
- Deep understanding of microcontroller/CPU architecture, memory and interrupts.
- Advanced debugging skills on embedded targets and low-level software.
- Experience with the software development lifecycle (requirements β design β code β test).
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
Preferred / nice-to-have:
- Experience with automotive and general-purpose peripherals (UART, DMA, timers).
- Knowledge of AUTOSAR standards, tooling or methodology.
- Experience with memory devices and stacks (flash, UFS, eMMC, OTA, bootloader).
- Familiarity with ARM architectures (Cortex-M7, Cortex-R52, Cortex-M0+) and ARM software specs (SCMI, PSCI).
- RTOS experience (AUTOSAR OS, FreeRTOS) and familiarity with CI/CD, Git, scripting or build systems.
- Makefile and scripting skills; ability to read schematics and understand HW/SW interactions.
