Job Title

Senior Electrical Engineer — ASIC/FPGA Verification

Role Summary

Design and verify advanced ASIC and FPGA testbenches for high-performance digital designs used in mission systems. Contribute verification architectures, RTL testbenches, and technical leadership to support signal processing and information assurance capabilities.

Experience Level

Senior — the posting defines equivalencies: Bachelor's degree plus 5 years' relevant experience, or an advanced degree plus 3 years. Role requires senior-level verification experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Architect and implement verification environments using SystemVerilog with OVM/UVM.
  • Create written test plans and test cases; track code and functional coverage.
  • Develop RTL testbenches for block verification using VHDL or SystemVerilog.
  • Provide technical leadership for verification teams: work breakdown, planning, and status reporting.
  • Contribute to engineering estimates for new program pursuits.

Requirements

Must-have skills and constraints:

  • Active, transferable U.S. government security clearance required prior to start.
  • U.S. citizenship required for security clearance eligibility.
  • Experience with ASIC/FPGA RTL coding, simulation, and verification using VHDL and/or Verilog.
  • Proficiency in SystemVerilog and verification methodologies, including constrained-random verification and functional coverage.
  • Familiarity with revision control systems such as Git or Subversion.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams; strong written and verbal communication skills.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or equivalent practical experience (posting specifies 5 years), or an advanced degree with 3 years' relevant experience.
