Senior Electrical Engineer
Role Summary
Senior Electrical Engineer responsible for the design, development, verification, and support of electrical and electromechanical systems for semiconductor capital equipment. The role interfaces with internal design services, offshore teams, vendors, and manufacturing to deliver safe, reliable hardware on schedule.
Primary focus areas include power distribution, high-voltage systems, control systems, robotics, vacuum and electro-static chuck technologies, and compliance with SEMI and customer requirements.
Experience Level
Senior level. The posting requires a minimum of 5 years of electrical/electronic hardware design experience as an individual contributor.
Responsibilities
Accountable for electrical system design and verification across capital equipment projects and for coordinating engineering deliverables with cross-functional teams.
- Design, develop, modify, and evaluate electronic parts, components, PCBs, and integrated circuitry for equipment systems.
- Execute projects for electromechanical systems including power distribution, vacuum systems, high voltage, control systems, robotics, safety interlocks, and electro-static chuck technologies.
- Plan requirements, create schedule estimates, and participate in concept and design reviews, verification, and validation testing.
- Provide electrical engineering interface to design services, offshore teams, and vendors; review vendor capabilities when needed.
- Analyze equipment performance, run experimental tests, and evaluate results to meet design objectives and safety/industry standards.
- Select components and equipment based on specifications and reliability analyses.

- Must-have: Minimum 5 years of electrical/electronic hardware design experience as an individual contributor.
- Proven ability to conduct technical design reviews and work with formal engineering change notice (ECN) processes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in one or more areas: systems engineering, high-voltage, RF power, PCB design, or power distribution.
- Design tool proficiency: Altium, PADS, PSpice.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with Creo Schematic/Creo Cabling, AutoCAD, Windchill, and semiconductor capital equipment.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field required.
