Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include developing and maintaining software and methodologies that automate SoC design and build flows, and partnering with engineers and vendors to improve workflows.

  • Develop software to automate SoC design and build flows to increase engineer productivity and reliability.
  • Design and implement new methodologies and tools aimed at accelerating ASIC/SoC design.
  • Work with design and verification teams to support project execution and identify workflow gaps.
  • Co-develop EDA tool capabilities and integrations with commercial vendors.
  • Troubleshoot RTL/flow issues, perform root-cause analysis, and improve build infrastructure.
  • Document solutions and provide guidance or training to users of the flows and tools.

Requirements

  • Must: 3+ years of EDA tool development experience in the ASIC or SoC design field.
  • Must: Hands-on experience with ASIC or SoC design and verification.
  • Must: Proficiency in Verilog or SystemVerilog.
  • Must: Strong programming skills in one or more: C++, Python, Perl, Tcl.
  • Must: Solid understanding of computer algorithms and data structures.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with SoC integration (IP connectivity, clock/reset automation, top-level flow).
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with Synopsys Fusion Compiler or similar next-generation design tools.
  • Nice-to-have: Practical experience using agentic AI coding tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude Code) in development workflows.

Education Requirements

BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
