Job Title

Senior DRAM Product Engineer

Role Summary

Prepare new DRAM products and coordinate resources, testing, and analysis across the product lifecycle at Fab 6 (Manassas, VA). Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Application Engineering to develop and validate device testing programs and ensure product reliability.

Maintain design documentation, run simulations and data analysis, identify lab equipment needs, and act as a product-specific point of contact. Position may allow part-time telecommuting.

Experience Level

Senior level. Employer requires at least 3 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include product introduction, test program development, and cross-functional coordination.

  • Prepare and support new DRAM product introductions.
  • Coordinate resources and testing across the product lifecycle.
  • Run simulations and analyze parametric and reliability data; respond to failures.
  • Create and maintain design documentation and complete design introduction checklists.
  • Develop, validate, and troubleshoot device testing programs with Engineering and Manufacturing.
  • Identify and validate lab/PE equipment needs.
  • Modify or define tests for customer returns and specific product requirements.
  • Serve as product point of contact; provide feedback on data sheets with Application Engineering.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance to ensure product reliability.
  • Work with Process Integration Engineering (PIE) on device/process interactions.

Requirements

Technical skills and knowledge required for the role.

  • Semiconductor physics and semiconductor manufacturing experience.
  • DRAM product operation and device reliability expertise.
  • CMOS logic design, VLSI, and electrical design knowledge.
  • Experience with electrical testing, electrical schematic analysis, and IC layout analysis.
  • Statistical analysis skills for parametric and reliability data.
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments.
  • Software development and scripting skills.
  • Experience with JMP and common office software.
  • Understanding of computer systems architecture.
  • Knowledge of automotive standards (where applicable).

Education Requirements

Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
