Senior DRAM Design Engineer

Role Summary

Design and analyze digital and analog circuits for DRAM/memory products. Collaborate with cross-functional design, verification, and manufacturing teams to deliver manufacturable, reliable memory devices.

Work spans schematic, layout, modeling, verification, and supporting tape-out and validation activities.

Experience Level

Senior-level. The posting specifies a minimum of 4 years of relevant semiconductor design and development experience.

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include designing, validating, and preparing memory-related circuits for production.

• Contribute to design, layout, verification, and optimization of memory, logic, and analog circuits.
• Perform parasitic modeling, design validation, reticle experiments, and tape-out revisions.
• Lead the layout process: floor-planning, placement, and routing.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Probe, Assembly, Test, Process Integration, and Product Engineering to ensure manufacturability.
• Coordinate with Standards, CAD, modeling, and verification groups to improve design quality and flows.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred items listed separately.

• Must-have: Minimum 4 years of semiconductor design and development experience.
• Must-have: Proven ability in circuit modeling and simulation using SPICE and Verilog.
• Must-have: Working knowledge of Synopsys tools and Cadence Virtuoso.
• Nice-to-have: Experience designing volatile or non-volatile memory technologies.
• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with advanced memory technologies such as ferroelectric memory, wafer bonding, advanced packaging, small-signal sensing, and high-voltage reliability.
• Nice-to-have: Demonstrated experience (5+ years) in mixed-signal design and product engineering; 3+ years in parasitic modeling, design validation, reticle experiments, and tape-out revisions.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's (BSEE) or Master's (MSEE) degree in Electrical Engineering is specified.
