Senior Director, Test & Product Engineering

Role Summary

Lead global test and product engineering for power semiconductors, owning strategy and execution across NPI, qualification, yield ramp, test development, and sustaining. Manage cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturing readiness, stable production, and continuous improvement.

The role balances strategic leadership and operational execution to deliver predictable ramps, cost-efficient test solutions, and improved yield and quality.

Responsibilities

Accountable for end-to-end product and test engineering delivery, from silicon bring-up through high-volume manufacturing.

• Define and execute unified test and product engineering strategy across global teams.
• Own full product lifecycle: silicon bring-up, qualification, ramp, and sustaining operations.
• Drive yield ramp and continuous yield improvement; manage excursions and test escapes.
• Optimize product cost via yield improvement, test efficiency, and manufacturing performance.
• Lead development and deployment of wafer sort, final test, and characterization solutions.
• Reduce test time, improve multisite efficiency, and standardize ATE platforms for scale.
• Partner with Quality, Reliability, Design, Product Line, Operations and OSATs to ensure qualification, production readiness, and capacity alignment.
• Own product KPIs, change control processes (ECO/PCN), budget, headcount, and capital planning.
• Build organization through hiring, development, and succession planning.

Requirements

Technical leadership and domain expertise required; strong track record in yield ramp and high-volume manufacturing execution.

Must have:

• Extensive semiconductor experience in test and/or product engineering with leadership of global teams.
• Strong technical background in power semiconductors (Si, SiC, GaN, modules, or power ICs).
• Demonstrated success in yield ramp, cost optimization, and high-volume manufacturing execution.
• Deep understanding of ATE, device characterization, and yield analysis.
• Proven ability to drive cross-functional execution across design, manufacturing, quality, and reliability.
• Experience owning KPIs and leading capital, budget, and resource planning.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with data center power architectures (AC-DC, DC-DC) and power module packaging.
• Familiarity with thermal behavior, high-current test methods, statistical yield analysis, reliability/qualification methodologies.
• Experience with test automation, data analytics, and manufacturing data platforms.

Education Requirements
