Role Summary
Lead architecture and IP development for Ethernet/UALink/OTN ASIC IP targeting AI and datacenter applications within Qualcomm ASIC IP. Manage cross-functional collaboration with design, verification, and systems teams to define, document, and deliver high-performance, low-power ASIC/IP solutions.

Responsibilities
Accountable for technical architecture, team leadership, and delivery of ASIC/IP for wired connectivity.
- Lead Ethernet/UALink/OTN ASIC IP architecture and specification for datacenter and AI use cases.
- Collaborate with design and verification teams on IP and ASIC projects; align IP and system requirements with stakeholders.
- Architect, develop, and document RTL and system models; contribute to RTL development in SystemVerilog/Verilog/VHDL as needed.
- Define and validate system-level models to verify architecture choices.
- Provide oversight, direction, and performance management for teams; hire, onboard, coach, and develop staff.
- Foster cross-team communication and resolve technical conflicts; maintain transparent reporting and documentation.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience for successful performance in the role.
- Proven experience in ASIC or IP development, including architecture work for high-performance wired connectivity.
- Strong protocol knowledge: Ethernet, ESUN, UALink, OTN.
- Proficiency with RTL languages: SystemVerilog, Verilog (V2K), and VHDL.
- Experience with SystemVerilog + UVM and both randomized and directed verification methodologies.
- Familiarity with ASIC tool flows and practical ASIC implementation considerations.
- Unix/Linux shell scripting and experience with source control systems (examples: SVN, CVS, RCS).
- Demonstrated leadership: mentoring, delegating, and delivering results through engineering teams.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field with 10+ years of ASIC design/verification/validation/integration experience; OR Master’s degree in Science, Engineering, or related field with 9+ years; OR PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field with 8+ years.
