Senior Director, Product Yield Enhancement
Role Summary
Lead Micron's centralized Product Yield Enhancement (PYE) organization, responsible for failure analysis and yield engineering across global labs and product lines. PYE operates 24/7 across five sites in four countries and supports DRAM, NAND, HBM, and emerging memory products.
The role sets yield and failure-analysis strategy, directs global operations and escalation response, and partners with technology, quality, and manufacturing teams to enable product ramp and sustain yield at scale.
Experience Level

Responsibilities
Accountable for strategic, operational, and people leadership of PYE across all sites.
- Define and execute a multi-year strategic vision for failure analysis and yield engineering aligned to technology roadmap and customer needs.
- Direct 24/7 global PYE operations, standardize methodologies, and maintain strong cycle-time and rapid-response readiness for escalations and qualifications.
- Lead root-cause investigations for customer RMAs, manage formal corrective actions (e.g., 8D), and support new product qualifications.
- Develop and retain leadership bench and technical talent across regions; drive structured career development for managers and individual contributors.
- Own enterprise capability and laboratory roadmap: scale FA capability, standardize execution, and align resources to customer commitments.
- Manage internal budgets and capital expenditure optimization for analytical laboratories.
- Partner with Technology Development, Global Quality, Process Integration, Product Engineering, and Manufacturing to translate findings into process and design improvements.
- Drive adoption of advanced analytics and AI-enabled workflows to accelerate root-cause analysis and improve productivity.
