Role Summary
Lead the Customer Strategy & Solutions function within Qualcomm's Data Center Business Unit for custom silicon. Accountable for customer engagement strategy, shaping and prioritizing custom silicon opportunities, and driving cross-functional solution development through design win.
Based in San Diego, CA or remote based on business needs; regular travel to customer sites and partner locations may be required.

Senior-level — requires 10+ years of Product Management or related experience; 15+ years in the semiconductor industry preferred.
Responsibilities
The role owns customer strategy, solution definition, and cross-functional execution for high-value custom silicon engagements.
- Lead executive customer engagement with hyperscalers, AI infrastructure providers, and semiconductor partners.
- Own customer solution strategy, including RFIs, RFQs, SOWs, and commercial proposals.
- Define opportunity strategy, customer prioritization, investment recommendations, and design-win plans.
- Translate customer priorities and market needs into product, platform, technology, and commercial recommendations.
- Drive cross-functional alignment across product, architecture, engineering, program management, operations, supply chain, finance, legal, sales, and business development.
- Lead solution definition and govern the end-to-end opportunity process from qualification through proposal development and design-win decision making.
- Establish processes, templates, tools, and best practices for requirements governance and opportunity management.
- Partner on business cases, pricing, non-recurring engineering models, and profitability analysis; influence product and technology roadmaps.
- Lead and scale a high-performing Customer Strategy & Solutions organization.
Requirements
Must-have experience and skills required for success in this role.
- 10+ years of product management or related work experience.
- Proven experience leading strategic customer engagements with hyperscalers, AI infrastructure, or complex technology customers.
- Demonstrated success leading custom silicon, infrastructure, or customer-solution initiatives from opportunity shaping through design win.
- Strong understanding of custom silicon development lifecycles, semiconductor business models, and customer engagement models.
- Executive-level experience owning RFIs, RFQs, SOWs, and commercial alignment.
- Deep knowledge of AI infrastructure and data center systems, including compute, connectivity, networking, memory, chiplets, and advanced packaging.
- Strong commercial, financial, and strategic planning skills, including business-case development and pricing strategy.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing executive-level decision making.
- Exceptional executive communication, negotiation, leadership, and organizational scaling capabilities.
Education Requirements
Required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related technical field. Preferred: MBA or advanced technical degree. No certifications or explicit "equivalent experience" language was provided in the posting.
