Role Summary

Lead and scale Synopsys' non‑Americas Applications Engineering organization for Signal Integrity (SI), Power Integrity (PI), and Thermal solutions across APAC, EMEA, and other regions outside North America. The role sets technical direction for customer engagement, drives technical sales campaigns, and resolves high‑stakes customer escalations.

Experience Level

Senior-level. Requires extensive senior leadership experience; the posting specifies 15+ years in application engineering or customer-facing roles with at least 5 years leading teams.

Responsibilities

Lead a geographically distributed technical team and align field activities with product and sales to win customer designs.

• Scale and manage the non‑Americas AE team supporting SI, PI, and Thermal solutions across APAC, EMEA, and other regions.
• Set technical direction and customer engagement strategy from evaluation through production deployment.
• Drive customer discovery, opportunity qualification, and technical sales campaigns to achieve design wins and revenue growth.
• Build and develop senior application engineers and AE managers to operate independently and deliver results.
• Partner with sales, product, and R&D to align customer needs with product roadmaps.
• Own customer escalations and resolve technical roadblocks, engaging directly with customers when necessary.
• Travel regularly across the region to meet key customers and assess field performance (up to ~40% travel).

Requirements

Must-have experience and skills required to perform the role.

• 15+ years in application engineering, technical sales, or customer-facing roles in the EDA or semiconductor industry, including at least 5 years in senior leadership.
• Deep technical credibility in Signal Integrity, Power Integrity, Thermal analysis, or closely related domains.
• Proven track record managing distributed, cross‑country teams and hiring/developing senior technical talent.
• Experience driving new business acquisition, competitive displacement, and technical sales campaigns with measurable revenue impact.
• Strong understanding of 3D IC technologies, advanced packaging, and the semiconductor design ecosystem.
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively across the region (up to 40%).
• Excellent communication skills for executive‑level technical discussions and cross‑functional alignment.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience across EDA and multi‑physics solution spaces; familiarity with Synopsys–Ansys integration in customer workflows.
