Senior Digital Verification Engineer

Role Summary

The Senior Digital Verification Engineer will design and implement verification environments and testbenches for digital blocks in MCU products, ensuring functional correctness and product quality. You will work within the Catania MCU team alongside design, architecture, DfT and physical design disciplines throughout the product lifecycle.

Experience Level

Senior level; typically requires 5+ years of digital IC verification experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop verification environments and testbenches using SystemVerilog and UVM.
• Create detailed verification plans and identify corner cases based on specifications.
• Develop, execute and debug test cases; analyze simulation results and trace issues to design.
• Implement and maintain assertions, functional coverage models, and verification scripts.
• Participate in verification reviews and help improve methodologies and processes.
• Collaborate with design, architecture and software teams throughout development.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience:

• Typically 5+ years of experience in digital IC verification.
• Strong proficiency in SystemVerilog and UVM.
• Experience with industry simulators (e.g., Questa, VCS, Xcelium).
• Familiarity with assertion-based verification and metric-driven verification.
• Scripting experience (Python, Perl, or Tcl).
• Solid understanding of digital design principles and architectures.
• Good communication and ability to work independently and in a team.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience in MCU/SoC verification and design-for-test (DfT) practices.

Education Requirements

Master's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
