Senior Digital Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Join the Catania MCU verification team to develop verification environments and testbenches for high-performance microcontroller and SoC digital blocks. You will design and execute verification plans, analyze results, and work with design, architecture, and software teams to close functional and corner-case issues across the product lifecycle.
Experience Level
Senior-level — typically requires 5+ years of experience in digital IC verification.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include building and running comprehensive verification environments, identifying coverage targets, and collaborating with design teams to resolve issues.
- Develop and implement verification environments and testbenches using UVM and SystemVerilog.
- Create detailed verification plans from design specifications and define corner-case scenarios.
- Develop, execute, and debug directed and constrained-random tests; analyze simulation results.
- Write and maintain assertions, functional coverage models, and verification scripts.
- Participate in verification reviews and improve verification methodologies and processes.
- Collaborate with design, architecture, DfT, physical design, and software teams throughout product development.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and domain experience.
- Typically 5+ years of experience in digital IC design verification.
- Strong proficiency in SystemVerilog and UVM.
- Experience with industry-standard simulators (Questa, VCS, Xcelium).
- Solid understanding of digital design principles and architectures.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Tcl.
- Familiarity with metric-driven verification and assertion-based verification.
- Ability to execute assigned tasks with minimal support and work effectively in a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Education Requirements
Master's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is stated as the expected qualification.
