Role Summary

Join the Crypto & Security Competence Center's Security Design team (Glasgow) to develop and verify security hardware IP and co‑processors used across Automotive, Microcontrollers, Banking/Mobile and Connectivity markets. The role covers verification planning, test and environment development, and supporting silicon validation.

Responsibilities

Accountabilities include planning and executing verification for complex digital security architectures and improving verification flows.

• Verify functional behavior of complex digital hardware architectures.
• Create, review and maintain verification plans; track verification progress.
• Specify and develop verification strategies, tests and environments for security features and hardware co‑processors.
• Introduce and apply emerging verification methodologies into existing flows.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote technical consistency and best practices across teams.

Requirements

Technical must-haves and preferred skills.

• Must-have: Strong hands-on SystemVerilog for testbench development and verification.
• Must-have: Proven expertise in UVM (component creation, sequences, drivers, monitors, scoreboards).
• Must-have: Practical experience with Constrained Random Verification and metrics-driven verification (functional coverage, verification planning).
• Must-have: Ability to write SystemVerilog Assertions (SVA) and achieve coverage closure (functional and code coverage).
• Must-have: Experience analysing coverage results and refining test strategies; strong debugging skills in simulation/verification environments.
• Nice-to-have: Knowledge of Formal Verification methods.

Education Requirements

BSc or MSc degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
