Senior Digital SoC Test Engineer
Role Summary
Work on digital SoC test engineering within Qualcomm's Hardware Engineering group in Hsinchu. The role plans, verifies, and tests electronic systems and production test solutions to improve product yield, test time, and quality.
Responsibilities span design verification, bring-up, manufacturing characterization, reliability evaluation, and cross‑functional collaboration with design, verification, validation, software, and systems teams.
Experience Level
Senior. Typical background: multiple years of hardware engineering or test experience (preferred 3+ years); minimum experience guidance shown in Education Requirements.
Responsibilities
Core responsibilities include:
- Plan, optimize, verify, and test digital SoC designs, test systems, and related hardware during bring-up and production.
- Integrate test features and functionality into hardware designs per roadmaps and requirements.
- Perform simulations and analyses to meet power, performance, and area targets.
- Develop and implement manufacturing test solutions to improve yield, reduce test time, and meet schedule targets.
- Characterize and evaluate materials, components, and techniques for reliability and manufacturability.
- Use and validate test instrumentation and measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF tools, etc.).
- Document technical work and communicate results to cross‑functional teams; identify and mitigate design or compliance issues.
- Drive automation, optimization, and process improvements for test and production flows.

Must-have: Practical experience in hardware engineering or test development with digital/analog/RF systems and SoC test flows.
- Experience with circuit design, schematic capture, and circuit simulation tools.
- Hands-on use of hardware measurement and validation instruments (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF tools, etc.).
- Experience developing manufacturing solutions, characterizing devices, and improving yield and test throughput.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and cross-functional communication skills; able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Nice-to-have: Experience with FPGA/DSP systems, automated test frameworks, or test program development for production silicon.
