Job Title
Senior Digital IP Verification Engineer (f/m/d)
Role Summary
Join the Munich Digital IP team to perform pre-silicon verification of digital IP blocks such as AI/ML processors, RISC-V cores and related subsystems. Work across architecture, hardware, firmware and software teams to deliver robust, silicon-ready IP.
Experience Level
Senior level β minimum 5 years of relevant IP or subsystem verification experience.
Responsibilities
Design and execute IP verification plans, develop verification environments and testcases, run regressions, and close coverage gaps.
- Define and develop comprehensive IP verification plans from requirements and architecture.
- Architect, develop, debug, and maintain UVM-based verification environments for RTL simulation.
- Develop testcases including stimulus generation and assertion-based verification.
- Run simulations across RTL, power-aware RTL, gate-level, FPGA and emulation platforms; execute regressions and analyze results.
- Drive closure of functional and code coverage; identify and debug failures.
- Collaborate with hardware, firmware, software, architecture and system engineering teams on system-level use cases.
- Improve verification methodologies and flows continuously.
Requirements
Key technical and professional requirements.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IP or subsystem verification.
- Hands-on experience with CPU verification (proprietary cores, RISC-V, or AI/ML accelerators).
- Strong testbench development using UVM for IP, subsystem, or SoC verification.
- Experience with AMBA protocols (AHB, AXI, ACE, CHI) and memory systems (ROM, RAM, Flash, DDR/LPDDR).
- Advanced skills in Verilog, SystemVerilog and C/C++.
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, Perl, TCL, or Shell).
- Metric-driven verification experience, including functional and code coverage; directed and constrained-random methodologies.
