Senior Digital Design & Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Lead digital design and verification efforts for automotive and industrial integrated circuits, working across architecture, analog, and software teams to deliver robust silicon.

Drive RTL implementation and verification strategy, improve design and verification flows, and mentor junior engineers.

Experience Level

Senior — minimum 7 years of experience in digital IC design and verification.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Lead digital design from specification through RTL implementation and linting.
• Define micro-architecture and manage clock-domain crossing (CDC) analysis.
• Develop and implement verification plans and UVM-based testbenches.
• Perform functional, formal, and gate-level verification and analysis.
• Collaborate with system architects, analog designers, and software teams to resolve integration issues.
• Debug complex design and verification problems and identify root causes.
• Improve verification methodologies, tools, and flows.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Produce detailed design and verification documentation.

Requirements

Must-have and relevant skills:

• Must-have: 7+ years in digital IC design and verification.
• Must-have: RTL design experience using Verilog/SystemVerilog.
• Must-have: Experience with UVM for testbench development.
• Must-have: Proficiency with EDA tools for simulation, synthesis, linting, and formal verification.
• Must-have: Familiarity with embedded systems and common communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, LIN).
• Must-have: Scripting for automation and analysis (Python, Perl, Tcl).
• Must-have: Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills; fluent English.
• Nice-to-have: Direct experience in automotive or industrial silicon development and mentoring teams.

Education Requirements

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
