Job Title
Senior Digital Design Engineer
Role Summary
Senior Digital Design Engineer responsible for RTL architecture, digital/mixed-signal integration, verification, and supporting physical implementation for ASIC/SoC products. Works within a cross-functional IC design team to take blocks from RTL through silicon characterization.
Experience Level
Senior-level; preferably 5+ years of digital IC/ASIC design and verification experience.
Responsibilities
Primary tasks and deliverables for the role:
- Develop RTL in Verilog/SystemVerilog for complex digital and mixed-signal IC blocks.
- Design and implement SystemVerilog/UVM verification environments, test plans, assertions, coverage models, and regression suites.
- Perform block- and top-level integration, functional/CDC/reset/timing debug, and verification.
- Support synthesis, static timing analysis, lint, CDC checks, and low-power verification flows.
- Collaborate with system and backend engineers on architecture trade-offs, floorplanning, timing closure, and place-and-route activities.
- Create SystemVerilog models of analog blocks and assist with mixed-signal integration and silicon bring-up.
- Perform FPGA prototyping, bench testing, characterization, and debug from prototype to production release.
- Document and report IC design results, test data, and evaluations to stakeholders.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills, tools, and working abilities:
- Strong RTL and digital IC architecture skills; experience with DSP concepts.
- Proficiency in Verilog/SystemVerilog and UVM-based verification methodologies.
- Solid understanding of clock-domain crossing, reset synchronization, timing closure, and ASIC/SoC flows.
- Experience with EDA tools for simulation, verification, synthesis, place-and-route, and debug.
- Familiarity with bench testing and characterization of analog/mixed-signal circuits and test equipment.
- Proficiency with UNIX/Linux and Python scripting for automation and tooling.
- Experience with FPGA prototyping and emulation platforms is desirable.
- Required familiarity with working in agent-based (Agentic) AI environments.
- Strong written and verbal technical communication and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) required; Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) preferred. Degrees in closely related technical fields are acceptable where noted in the hiring criteria.
