Senior Digital Design Engineer

Role Summary

Design and validate high-speed digital and baseband hardware for platform and power-management ICs. Work across hardware disciplines to define platform architecture, capture schematics and BOMs, perform signal-integrity analysis and lab validation, and support transition to production.

Experience Level

Senior β€” candidates are expected to have several years of relevant hardware design experience; company data on prior hires shows experience levels starting around 4+ years.

Responsibilities

The role executes detailed digital hardware design tasks and supports integration, test, and handoff to manufacturing.

  • Plan and perform high-speed digital and baseband design, including signal-integrity analysis and simulation.
  • Design and validate CPU-based circuit boards and cards for wireless and low-power platforms.
  • Perform component-level evaluation, optimization, unit testing, and RF debug.
  • Define platform requirements and architecture; capture schematics and BOMs.
  • Collaborate with CAD/PCB teams on PWB layout and support lab-based design verification and integration.
  • Support transition of designs to small-volume production and maintain hardware through the product cycle.
  • Participate actively in design reviews and cross-functional project meetings.

Requirements

Required technical skills and experience to perform the role.

  • Proven experience in high-speed digital and baseband hardware design and validation.
  • Experience with signal integrity analysis and related simulation tools.
  • Experience in component evaluation, unit testing, and RF-level debug of platform hardware.
  • Familiarity with schematic capture, BOM management, and PCB/PWB layout processes.
  • Ability to work across hardware disciplines and coordinate with CAD and test engineering teams.
  • Experience supporting design transitions to production and providing in-house technical support.

Education Requirements

Master's degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is accepted.
