Job Title

Senior Digital Design Engineer

Role Summary

Join the GPU Hardware Design Team to design and optimise Mali GPU IP for graphics, compute, machine learning and AI workloads. The role focuses on microarchitecture development, RTL implementation of complex blocks, and meeting aggressive power, performance and area (PPA) targets across multiple GPU generations.

The engineer will deliver production IP blocks, perform metric-driven design trade-offs, and take technical leadership for a specific block within the GPU.

Experience Level

Senior-level role. Typically suited to engineers with significant experience (commonly 7+ years) in RTL and hardware design for complex processors or accelerators.

Responsibilities

The core responsibilities include:

  • Derive detailed specifications from architecture requirements.
  • Specify, design and optimise complex GPU blocks for multi-generation reuse.
  • Implement RTL, deliver IP blocks to schedule and meet PPA targets.
  • Perform metric-driven design space exploration and trade-off analysis.
  • Provide technical leadership for a designated block within the GPU.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience:

  • Proven RTL design experience for GPUs, CPUs or DSPs.
  • Track record owning design and implementation of complex units or sub-systems from specification to design sign-off.
  • Experience with metric-driven design space exploration and selecting solutions based on PPA trade-offs.
  • Ability to work independently and manage own schedule and tasks.

Nice-to-have:

  • High-level programming experience in C/C++.
  • Familiarity with verification techniques such as UVM or formal verification.
  • Knowledge of functional safety and ISO 26262.

Education Requirements

Not specified.
