Senior Digital Design Engineer
Role Summary
Join the Semi-Custom Silicon products group to design and deliver NVLink Fusion-based AI infrastructure System-on-Chips. The role focuses on micro-architecture, RTL implementation, and delivering high-performance, area- and power-efficient connectivity blocks.
Work within a cross-functional team—chip architects, verification, formal, and SoC integration—to meet block-level performance, timing, and integration goals.
Experience Level
Senior — 5+ years of relevant work experience.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Analyze architectural requirements and perform trade-off analysis for RTL implementations.
- Specify micro-architecture and implement high-quality RTL.
- Deliver fully verified blocks that are synthesis- and timing-clean.
- Collaborate with architects, verification, formal verification, and SoC integration teams to meet schedule and quality goals.
- Identify, evaluate, customize, and integrate IP solutions for specific use cases.
Requirements
Must-have:
- Experience with high-speed connectivity protocols such as NVLink, PCI-Express, Ethernet, or UCIE.
- Proven track record delivering high-bandwidth datapath blocks (data movers, protocol adapters, NoC, arbiters, schedulers).
- Deep understanding of ASIC design flows and methodology.
- Strong analytical skills and effective teamwork/communication abilities.
Nice-to-have:
- Prior work on NVLink Fusion or similar rack-scale AI connectivity IP.
- Experience with formal verification and SoC integration of IP blocks.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
