Role Summary
Develop and maintain CAD software, tools, and verification flows for digital VLSI designs. Deliver automated simulation and emulation tool chains and verification methodologies to validate SoCs, subsystems, and IP, and work with cross-functional teams and vendors to improve design productivity and time-to-market.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Design, implement, and maintain CAD tools and verification flows for digital VLSI.
- Define and implement verification methodologies, including register modeling and Portable Stimulus components.
- Develop, validate, and deploy automated simulation and emulation tool chains and related automation.
- Debug CAD solutions and provide technical support, data, and reports to CAD and design teams.
- Prepare design specifications, analyses, and recommendations for reviews and approvals.
- Streamline processes to improve turnaround time and reduce operational expense and NRE.
- Collaborate with RF, analog, digital designers, foundry/process teams, IT, procurement, and external vendors.
Requirements
Must-have:
- Experience in CAD software development for digital VLSI design and verification.
- Experience defining verification methodologies and modeling registers/programmable components; experience with Portable Stimulus is expected.
- Proven experience with simulation and emulation tool chains and automation of flows.
- Strong debugging skills for CAD tools and ability to produce technical reports and presentations.
- Effective cross-functional collaboration and vendor interaction skills.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience deploying tools and optimizing processes to reduce development time and cost.
- Familiarity with foundry process technology, modeling, and vendor evaluation.
- Experience with scripting or programming for automation (for example, Python or Tcl).
- Prior experience on SoC, subsystem, or IP-level verification flows.
Education Requirements
Master's degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related degree field.
