Senior DFX Engineer

Role Summary

Responsible for design-for-test (DFX) planning, implementation, verification and silicon bring-up for NVIDIA semiconductor IPs and full chips. Works within the DFX/DFT engineering team and may lead specific DFX areas on projects.

Experience Level

Senior level. The posting specifies MSEE with 4+ years of experience or a PhD in DFT or a related domain.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include technical leadership in DFX and ensuring testability and manufacturability of complex VLSI designs.

• Plan, implement and verify DFX/DFT features at IP and full-chip level.
• Lead DFX efforts for assigned project areas and coordinate with design teams.
• Develop and improve DFX architecture, design practices and flows.
• Validate test patterns and logic; analyze verification and validation results for complex VLSI designs.
• Perform silicon debug and bring-up on ATE; process failures and perform diagnostics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and document technical findings clearly in English.

Requirements

Core technical skills and domain experience required or strongly preferred.

• Familiarity with Verilog and ASIC design (must-have).
• Proven expertise with JTAG, Scan, ATPG, fault models and ATE testing (must-have).
• Strong analytical skills for verification and validation of test patterns and logic on VLSI designs (must-have).
• Experience in silicon debug and bring-up on ATE, including pattern formats and failure analysis (must-have).
• Outstanding written and oral English communication skills (must-have).

Nice-to-have:

• Programming and scripting skills in Perl, Python or Tcl (desired).

Education Requirements

Requires MSEE with 4+ years of experience in DFT or related domains, or a PhD in DFT or a related field.
