Job Title

Senior DFT Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Lead verification efforts for design-for-test (DFT) features across ASIC products, focusing on DFX verification, pattern development, and silicon bring-up. Work with cross-functional teams (DFX, CAD, methodology, and SoC teams) to deploy and improve DFT methodologies for next-generation products.

Experience Level

Senior role. Typical experience: 3+ years in DFT/ASIC verification or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include ownership of DFT verification tasks and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

  • Own end-to-end DFX/DFT verification, pattern development, and silicon bring-up for test features (JTAG, boundary scan, security, reliability tests such as HTOL/IDDQ).
  • Develop and validate test patterns and configurations for multiple ATPG modes and multi-die environments.
  • Collaborate with DFX, CAD, and methodology teams to improve verification flows and processes.
  • Develop and deploy DFT methodologies for next-generation products and improve DFT quality and processes.
  • Work with multi-functional teams to integrate DFT features into chip designs.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

  • Proficient in static timing analysis, ECO, ASIC/logic design flow, HDL, and digital logic design.
  • Experience with RTL and gate-level verification, simulation, and silicon bring-up.
  • Familiarity with BIST architectures and test standards such as JTAG/IEEE 1149.1, IEEE 1500, IEEE 1687, IEEE 1838.
  • Strong DFT knowledge: scan ATPG, compression techniques, and memory test strategies.
  • Good scripting skills in Perl or Python for automation and verification tasks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work across teams and improve methodologies.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE or MSEE) or equivalent practical experience. The posting specifies "BSEE or MSEE or equivalent experience" and expects approximately 3+ years of relevant experience.
