Senior DFT Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Work on DFT (Design for Test) technologies for NVIDIA's Switches, NIC and SoC product lines. The role involves defining micro-architecture, coding DFT blocks, integrating designs into projects, and supporting tape-out and silicon testing.
Collaborate with chip architects, RTL designers, verification, back-end and production test teams to deliver scalable, manufacturable DFT solutions.
Experience Level
Senior-level. The role expects 5+ years of practical experience in relevant design or verification roles.
Responsibilities
The engineer will implement DFT features and integrate them into projects across the silicon development flow.
- Define micro-architecture for DFT components and document designs.
- Write RTL code for DFT blocks and integrate them into chip projects.
- Collaborate with verification, back-end and production testing teams to resolve issues through tape-out and silicon bring-up.
- Support debugging, validation, and production testing of DFT solutions.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of DFT methodologies.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience.
- 5+ years of practical experience in chip design or DFT-related roles.
- Exposure to RTL implementation and RTL coding.
- Familiarity with verification tools and methodologies.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in geographically distributed teams.
- Self-motivated, independent and target-oriented work style.
Nice-to-have / ways to stand out.
- Prior design or verification experience on large or complex blocks.
- Experience integrating design elements into large clusters or full-chip designs.
- Experience working with back-end teams on area, power and timing closure.
- Scripting skills for automation and tooling.
Education Requirements
B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
