Job Title

Senior DFT Power Methodology Engineer

Role Summary

Lead development of DFT power, thermal and voltage-noise methodologies for datacenter GPUs. Build low-power and thermal test solutions, perform post-silicon power analysis, and deploy ML/GenAI-enabled DFT techniques in collaboration with product and power-architecture teams.

Experience Level

Senior β€” requires substantial experience. Typical guidance: BSEE +12 years, MSEE +10 years, or PhD +6 years in DFT design and power (see Education Requirements).

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Innovate DFT power, thermal, and voltage-noise methodologies for manufacturing tests.
  • Design low-power and thermal test strategies for GPUs operating near extreme conditions.
  • Perform post-silicon power data analysis to define next-generation solutions.
  • Develop and deploy DFT methodologies using applied ML and generative AI techniques.
  • Collaborate with product, power-architecture, RTL, STA, and place-and-route teams to implement methods.
  • Mentor junior engineers on test design trade-offs, cost, and quality.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

  • Deep knowledge of DFT concepts and VLSI areas: power, timing, and voltage noise.
  • Experience with silicon debug and bring-up on ATE or SLT platforms.
  • Hands-on exposure to RTL and clock design, static timing analysis, place-and-route, and power flows.
  • Strong statistical and data-analysis skills for extracting insights from post-silicon data.
  • Programming mindset to translate solutions into automated/AI-enabled implementations.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with power analysis, thermal analysis, and IR-drop tools.
  • Experience applying AI/ML or GenAI to EDA and test problem solving.
  • Experience managing DFT power methodology and post-silicon thermal/IR-drop debug.

Education Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) with 12+ years, Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) with 10+ years, or PhD with 6+ years in DFT/power or related fields β€” or equivalent practical experience. Relevant fields include DFT, VLSI/power engineering, electrical engineering, or closely related technical disciplines.
