Job Title

Senior DFT Engineer - Hardware

Role Summary

Join the IODFX Engineering team to design, validate and productize design-for-test (DFT) features for high-speed IOs across pre-silicon and post-silicon phases. The role focuses on test architecture, verification, automation and cross-team integration to ensure manufacturable, high-quality IO testing.

Experience Level

Senior. The posting references experience with DFT and verification flows; a background including industry experience is expected. The listing mentions 3+ years of DFT or verification-related experience as a plus.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include design, verification and productization of test features for high-speed IOs, spanning pre-silicon simulations to post-silicon validation and production test.

  • Architect, design and validate DFT/DFX test features at unit and SoC/full-chip levels.
  • Develop and execute robust, scalable test plans and sign off on coverage using standard coverage metrics.
  • Perform pre-silicon simulation, debug test functionality, and support post-silicon testing and characterization.
  • Develop and improve automation and flows for test execution, coverage measurement, profiling and productization.
  • Resolve complex mixed-signal IO test problems and create solutions that scale across platforms.
  • Collaborate with IP teams, mixed-signal circuit designers, post-silicon test engineering and production engineering to integrate and deploy test logic.

Requirements

Concise list of must-have competencies and preferred experience.

  • Must-have: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; clear written and verbal communication.
  • Must-have: Good understanding of digital/logic design, architecture and verification methodologies.
  • Must-have: Proficiency in scripting and coding (examples: Python, Perl) and familiarity with SystemVerilog-based flows.
  • Must-have: Experience with verification methodologies (UVM, constrained-random testing) and coverage concepts; ability to work with industry-standard tools and internal flows.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with DFT-specific flows, IOBIST test-logic, profiling tools and X-propagation; prior work across pre- and post-silicon phases and production test productization.

Education Requirements

BTech/BE/BS or MTech/ME/MS in Electrical Engineering / Electronics & Communication (EE/ECE) or equivalent practical experience.
