Job Title

Senior DFT Engineer

Role Summary

Join NVIDIA's Advanced Technology Group to develop and validate design-for-test (DFT) strategies for next-generation CMOS process nodes and advanced packaging. The role focuses on test methodology, pattern generation, test program bring-up, and debug to support product bring-up and manufacturing test readiness.

Experience Level

Senior level. Requires substantial experience; the posting requests 12+ years in design for test.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Define and implement DFT methodology, logic insertion, and verification flows.
  • Develop test pattern generation flows and test program bring-up for ATE.
  • Perform complex debug and failure analysis to resolve bring-up issues.
  • Balance test time versus data collection needs for monitoring process/node health.
  • Collaborate on design and tapeout of advanced packaging vehicles.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

  • 12+ years of experience in design for test (DFT).
  • In-depth knowledge of test architectures: IEEE1149.1, IEEE1500, SSN scan compression, IOBIST, memory BIST.
  • Expertise in test logic design verification and pattern generation; developing and improving test flows.
  • Experience with ATE test program development and bring-up, including specifying custom test methods for data collection.
  • Hands-on experience with industry-standard DFT EDA tools.
  • Proficiency in programming/scripting (Python preferred).

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with DDR and HBM high-speed I/O testing.
  • Hands-on failure analysis experience (LVP, photon emission, ebeam probing).
  • Experience with Advantest 93k testers.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
